Q: Will you ever go on tour?
A: Um, maybe yeah, but for now I want to release more music and put out more content for my supporters. But that's so exciting to think about right now.
Q: Was the 'YREG' name intentional or it just kinda happened?
A: The reason I called it that was because of Billie Eilish's song "Happier Than Ever" and my favorite line was, "you ruined everything good, always said you were misunderstood." and I was on twitter and I saw @twaimz posted lyrics of Billie's song "Happier than ever" including that lyric.
Q: Not really a question, but you are currently the solace in my life and 'i love you' is the best song !
A: Awww. Thank you. 'i love you' wasn't supposed to be released, it was just a song I personally wrote and shared it to my brother and my mom and it's the most acutely song I've ever put out and for queer boys like me to relate to it.
Q: I want to learn how to write songs cause it's hard and your album is fire!!!
A: I think it's harder just to find the reason why you're writing a song. I'm very vulnerable when it comes to my work. Like, I wish I could just be like, "I'm gonna write a song about blue flowers." But for me, the driving force of why I write music is to like deal with myself.
Q: I listened to "20 something" and now I'm listening to it nonstop.
A: Sweet! I'm so happy about that song! It's like the only song that keeps me going. If SZA saw it, I'm going to pass out. And I was thinking about getting a tattoo of a lyric from 20 something by SZA.
Q: Is "1sf3sb" based on personal experience?
A: Yes. I just wrote this song actually the day before this guy broke up with me, so I remember not being able to listen to it for a while. I think loving someone who is so inconsistent is so challenging, and just really anxiety-inducing, and makes you feel so insecure and being your own worst enemy. It’s a really tough thing to feel like you’re walking on eggshells around someone who you just want validation and love and support from.
Q: What song do you connect with most on the album?
A: It's hard. I connect with all of them because, like, they all came out of me.
Q: When is your birthday?
A: February 26. Spicy Pisces!
Q: If you were a animal, which one would you like to be?
A: Koala. They're just so soft and cuddly.
Q: Do you find it hard writing those songs?
A: Actually yes. I find it hard emotionally because it's like I have to really allow myself to feel those emotions. That sounds so stupid, but it's true.
Q: What was the first song you've written for the album?"
A: Um... '20 something' was the first song I've written for the album. It was the first song me and my cousin fetty produced together. I wrote it in April 2021.
