I promise I have a good excuse for not writing for so long. I’ve been busy. Well, that’s what everyone says, but it’s true. Between Birdie’s injury and recovery, working at the mall over the holidays, and trying to manage schoolwork, the Dance Brothers, and my relationships with Aiden and Dylan over the winter, it’s been a crazy couple of months.

Relationships?! Cue Harmony’s dramatic open-mouth face. But don’t worry too much, because there’s nothing going on with either of those boys. Anymore. I ended things with Aiden just before spring break. He never wanted to spend time with my friends, and barely even had time for me with so many theater rehearsals. I didn’t want to feel like his second choice, or just another commitment on his calendar. I wanted to feel chosen and special. Like how Dylan used to make me feel.

Key word: used to. After I saw Dylan in the hospital, we hung out a few times before he headed back to Texas. It felt like old times, but not necessarily in a good way. Like putting on your favorite outfit from middle school, just to realize it’s too small and a little bit ripped. I’ll always have a place in my heart for Dylan, but in my gut I know it’s time to move on.

Oh, and did I mention I have a baby now?! Cue super-dramatic face. And, the baby’s with Arthur, that guy who licked a frog in Anthony’s biology class last semester?! Cue dramatic scream. Just kidding, mostly. The baby’s a sack of flour for a Home Ec project, and Arthur’s just my partner. Though, we’ve already had some fake-couple’s drama, from Harmony’s awful flour baby makeover to Arthur’s insistence on prying into my romantic life. At least we don’t have the actual couples drama of Malachi and Bryant or Mykel and Kevin.

Speaking of my romantic life and actual drama, there’s something I haven’t told you. It’s not super intense like running into Dylan, and not as random as my newfound partnership with Arthur. Okay, maybe a little random. So, instead of the ski trip, I spent my spring break in Miami. And I met this guy...Cortez. There’s something about being around him that makes me feel electric. But, I didn’t let myself get too excited, because I was ready for a disappointment.

Ghosted. One day here, the next day gone. That’s what Arthur said, and after zero texts or calls from Cortez, I was prepared for the worst. But, the next moment, Cortez was here. Here, like at Starbucks Coffee Shop, in Gwinnett, getting ready to start school with me next week.

Let’s just say I have a feeling that it’s going to be a dramatic spring. Wish me luck!

♡, Jericho.
